About Los Freeloaders
Los Freeloaders Cycling Team is a group of road cyclists in Scottsdale, AZ. We are a spin off group of one of the other Saturday cycling groups in the valley who started mid week rides to get more miles in. Eventually we got the stupid idea to come up with a name and get jerseys for our group. Our name was born from conversations about trying to get a free place to stay while planning for a weekend ride up in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona.Needing something bigger than ourselves (if you can believe THAT!) to advertise on our jerseys, we decided to promote United Blood Services. Then to our complete delight, United Blood Services paid for our jerseys. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk!
We generally ride on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings – but sometimes ride on Sundays too, and on Monday if it’s a holiday. We start in the neighborhood of 56th Street and Thomas and ride into Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. Anyone is welcome to join us. Check out the Los Freeloaders events page on Facebook.
